For deliveries and office appointments, please use the Stage Door entrance which is at the rear of Trencherfield Mill. It can be accessed through the double doors to the left of the building, directly under the red Rose Bruford College signage.
Travelling By car
Free parking is available next to the venue. For this carpark, turn left off the A577 into Heritage Way. Continue to follow the road to the left of Trencherfield Mill and behind Millside Apartments. At the end of Heritage Way is a public carpark, opposite the building entrance sign-posted ‘Trencherfield Mill Carpark’.
Please note: The carpark is not accessible via the residential carpark at Trencherfield Mill. Therefore, please follow Heritage Way until you come around to the Mill at the Pier.
Travelling by train
The theatre is a 6-minute walk from both Wigan train stations. When arriving from either Wigan Wallgate Station or Wigan Central Station, turn onto Wallgate and follow the road downhill until you come to the A577. Follow this road until you come to Dominoes pizza restaurant. Turn left at Dominoes onto Heritage Way where you will see Trencherfield Mill directly in front of you. Follow the road to the left of the Mill to get to the rear of the building where will you see the Mill at the Pier signage and access to ThickSkin’s building via the double doors to left of the building next to the canal.
Travelling by bus
The nearest bus stop is Clayton Street. If arriving at Wigan Bus Station, you can get any of the following directly to Clayton Street: 610, 352, 601, 603, 604. Alternatively, it takes 16 minutes to walk from the bus station.
When you get off the bus at Clayton Street, walk towards Dominoes pizza restaurant and turn left onto Heritage Way where you will see Trencherfield Mill directly in front of you. Follow the road to the left of the Mill to get to the rear ofthe building where will you see the Mill at the Pier signage and access to ThickSkin’s building via the double doors to left of the building next to the canal.
