Jess works as a Movement Director, Director and Performer, she trained at the London Contemporary Dance School and the Laban Centre.
Most recently Jess worked as Steven's Hoggett's Associate Movement Director and performed in The Ocean at the End of the Lane (National Theatre). She is Associate Director for Frantic Assembly’s productions of I Think We Are Alone and The Unreturning. She toured the UK in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time for the National Theatre and Frantic Assembly and has been Associate Movement Director for the USA, World Tour and West End productions of the same show.
Other recent credits as include: One flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest (English Theatre Frankfurt- Movement Director); Ignition (Frantic Assembly - Co-Director); Constellations (National Centre for Performing Arts, Mumbai), UrineTown and Flower Cutters (Perfect Pitch, UCLAN); Tuck and A Good Clean Heart (Neontopia, Wales Millennium Centre), Merched Caerdydd (Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, Theatr Clwyd and Welsh Tour),
Wonderland (Nottingham Playhouse - Associate Movement Director); Plays in a Bag (Dirty Protest, Royal Court and Almeida).
Jess has Co-directed the National Youth Theatre Wales and taught movement at MA level for Frantic Assembly. Jess regularly teaches devising and physicality workshops in the UK and abroad and has also taught at the Royal Academy of Music and the Oxford School of Drama.
