Join us for this exciting new show on 1-3 November in The Customs House Studio Theatre.
BOOK TICKETSAgainst the backdrop of a crucial game for the Lionesses, a grassroots team in the North East are waiting to hear their fate. Money for the girls’ team is running out, their third-hand strips smell of mould and they play on a pitch without goalposts.
The players train in the hope that the team will continue but after an incident with a side-line dad, their coach is struggling and has started to forget why she found the beautiful game so beautiful. For all of them, there is so much more than goals at stake.
This brand new play is a love-letter to women’s football and a round of applause to the coaches, players and parents whose unwavering passion powers the grassroots game.
The production will run from 1-3 November 2024, in The Customs House Studio Theatre, and will tour to community venues across South Tyneside from 6-10 November.
