EMMA-LOUISE HOWELL
Emma is an award-winning writer from East Anglia. She trained on writing programmes with RADA, the BFI, Mercury Theatre, National Student Drama Festival and with a Harold Hyam Wingate Scholarship for the Arvon Foundation. Her first play, Patterns, was awarded the Michael Ross Prize from RADA and Birkbeck and has since been shortlisted for the Theatre503 International Playwriting Prize. Described as ‘bold, unflinching and impossible to ignore’, she has gone on to create other work for BBC Introducing, Mercury Theatre, Arcola Theatre, Leicester Curve, Theatre503 and Boundless Accelerator as well as being shortlisted for various prizes across Theatre, Film and TV including: .BBC Writersroom, ITV Original Voices, Women in Theatre Lab and Wildseed Studios Talent to Watch. She was also a New Associate Artist for New Perspectives.
