This is an exciting time to join the ThickSkin team. From our home in the heart of Wigan town, The Engine Room, we are forming a creative hub for the best new talent – supporting new work and talent development. Through our work, ThickSkin is igniting creativity, raising ambition, and is a key player in the local, regional and national cultural ecology producing and touring world-class theatre and nurturing the next generation of fearless artists.

We are committed to discovering and developing the best talent from across the sector. We work with people from all backgrounds and with all levels of experience and we’re especially keen to hear from creative people who are under-represented in UK theatre.
Our diverse team and their range of experiences are integral to our success, but we still have work to do to make sure we are representing the communities we serve. We actively encourage people with different backgrounds to join us, and we are particularly keen to receive applications from Black, Asian and ethnic minority applicants, and neurodivergent and disabled applicants, who are currently under-represented in our team.
