HETTY HODGSON

Hetty is a director who works collaboratively to tell stories which are both political and playful. She is the Artistic Director of multi-award winning Pigfoot, telling stories about the climate crisis with the least carbon impact possible.

Excited by new, multidisciplinary and formally exciting work, they have directed shows across the country including HOT IN HERE (Gate Theatre & UK Tour), BOTHERED (a short film commissioned by the Space), How To Save A Rock (English Touring Theatre Trailer Story & Battersea Arts Centre ‘Lets Do London’), I Really Do Think This Will Change Your Life (Mercury Theatre), Sharp (LAMDA MishMash), Yes Chef (R&D: Roundhouse/Unity) & A Pervert’s Guide to the Internet (R&D: Sheffield Theatres). She’s worked with ThickSkin as Associate Director on Peak Stuff (UK tour) & Love Will Tear Us Apart (LIPA).

Alongside directing, Hetty has facilitated workshops for organisations across the country including National Theatre, Southbank Centre and HOME and she is a Freelance Artist at the National Youth Theatre.
