HETTY HODGSON
Hetty Hodgson is a theatre director who works collaboratively to tell stories which are both political and playful. They are the Artistic Director of multi-award winning Pigfoot, an associate company of English Touring Theatre, telling stories about the climate crisis with the least carbon impact possible.
With Pigfoot, they’ve directed HOT IN HERE (Gate Theatre & UK Tour), BOTHERED (a short film commissioned by The Space) and How To Save A Rock (English Touring Theatre Trailer Story & Battersea Arts Centre ‘Lets Do London’). As Director, other theatre credits include: ‘I Really Do Think This Will Change Your Life’ (Mercury Theatre), Sharp (LAMDA MishMash Festival), Pepi and Me (Camden People’s Theatre), Yes Chef (R&D: Roundhouse / Unity Theatre), A Pervert’s Guide to the Internet (R&D: Sheffield Theatres). As Assistant Director, credits include: Megaverse’s GameChangers, Worklight Theatre’s Fanboy (Soho Theatre / National Tour), Elysium Theatre’s Miss Julie (North East Tour).
Alongside directing, Hetty has facilitated workshops for organisations across the country including National Theatre, Southbank Centre, Guildhall School of Speech and Drama and HOME. She has worked as a freelance artist & part of the production team at National Youth Theatre, and has worked as a freelance producer for organisations such as Boundless.
